Moonbeams and Metamorphosis

Yesterday Pastor Terry shared a video testimony in service. It was Victoria sharing how it's a struggle to see how God is using us and seeing us as beautiful when we're comparing ourselves with other people. She shared a verse from her devotions. It was when Paul was talking to the slaves in 1 Corinthians 7: "20Each one should remain in the situation which he was in when God called him..." "24Brothers, each man, as responsible to God, should remain in the situation God called him to." She shared about how God has created her the way He wants her to be. It was so encouraging!
Today I was doing my devotions on how we're trying too hard to be perfect. I read out of John 9:1-11, when Jesus healed a blind man. The verse that stuck out to me was this (Jesus
speaking): 3"but this (his blindness) happened so that the work of God might be displayed in his life." WOW! God uses my flaws for His glory.
It is so exciting to think that God is transfiguring us. We're like butterflies, going through a metamorphosis. While He's taking us through this growth, He's using us to reflect His love and beauty just as the moon reflects the light of the sun. (
2 Corinthians 3:18.)
