This year was my first time to go to a Women of Faith conference. It was amazing! Not only was it spiritually refreshing, it was a great time to connect with my Gaga, Mom, and sister.

Last week we all camped out at "The Lake" for the 4th. It was a smaller crowd than usual, but it was still fun. We didn't get to spend as much time enjoying the big firework shows down the lake because my now 13 year old cousins (boys, of course) spent hundreds of dollars on bottle rockets and firecrackers. They went for HOURS!
We celebrated Meghan's 9th birthday. All she wanted was a pet frog, and one of her aunts gave her the one that was living in her hot tub. We got online to look up information on what it eats, and found out that it's illegal to own one - a Pacific Tree Frog! A devastated Meghan had to let her beloved "George" go, saying, "It's my first pet and I only got to keep him for one night!" The funny thing was that Gaga piled us in the Yukon to buy a "legal" frog from Petsmart... no, we didn't leave with a frog, but my cousin Kline walked out with an ugly little hamster thing.... GROSS!!!
