::::::
There's been a lot going on! I spent a few nights in Oak Harbor with Uncle Kurt and Auntie Shawna last weekend. I ended up having to drive to Jim Creek on Sunday because my dad drove my car home a day early... which put me on I-5 for about a half-hour. I had Sarah and Meghan with me. We stopped in Burlington to get Costco food first, and I was a shaking crying mess! I put in my Casting Crowns CD and prayed going up the onramp. (Listen to "Voice of Truth"). Once it started getting a little busy, I repeated my memory verse, too. (Zephaniah 3:17 - "The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.") Sarah looked at me and said, "What did you say!?" I think I kind of freaked her out. But it's so cool how God is working in my life - in monstrous ways and in little ways. Even though driving on a freeway seems like a trivial thing, it was definitely a faith-building experience, personally! I am learning so much about living a life free from fear! It's great!
::::::
We spent four nights at Jim Creek near Arlington. There were about twenty of us staying in four little cabins. We all went up to Twin Lakes one day, took walks, celebrated Sarah's and Kline's birthdays, swam in the Stillaguamish River, went into Arlington "window shopping," and went to Papa and Gaga's friends' place down the road (which included Mule and quad rides). It was nice to get away for a while. It was refreshing to be in a different place and to have good family time. Nobody wanted to go home!

Oh the joy and blessing to have such a "spirit filled, enthralled" granddaughter. Thank you Lord for the many answered prayers in her life. Keep her in your care, bless her and continue to GROW her up to be the spiritual leader that you have intended her to be. My heart is singing, and my soul is overflowing with joy.
